Playing for Arsenal has always been my ambition, but it’s very difficult right now since I don’t see Arsenal satisfying these demands.” Paul Pogba discloses the ONE condition holding him back from joining Arsenal by January.
Arsenal are expected to make a surprise approach for Paul Pogba as the former Manchester United midfielder seeks a return to the Premier League.
Pogba is free to begin training in January and will be eligible to play again in March after having his four-year doping ban reduced to 18 months following an appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
After a six-year stint at United, the Frenchman returned to Juventus in the summer of 2022, although he only made 12 appearances for the Serie A club before his suspension.
Juventus director Cristiano Giuntoli claims “the squad is complete” without the midfielder, implying Pogba will have to hunt for a new club in January to return to play.
“Our position is clear,” Giuntoli stated during an interview with DAZN, according to ESPN. “Pogba has been a great player, he has been out for a long time and last year we were forced to invest in other players.”
Despite his club’s stance, Pogba refused to comment on where he would prefer to play next, stating he is still a Juventus player.
Pogba replied, “Where do I want to play? On the pitch! I’d want to be on the pitch! Any pitch. First, Juventus, I’d like to start training with my teammates. It’s difficult training on your own, but it will pass! The important goal is to get back into shape, to be on the field and do what I enjoy.
“First and foremost, I am currently under contract with Juventus. I’ll see what they’re thinking and their vision. My vision is to show that I am a football player. A fresh Paul Pogba with similar traits. “I’m still ready.”
However, speculations claim Pogba is looking to return to the Premier League, despite the fact that he played his greatest football in Serie A during his first stay with Juventus.
Former Arsenal full-back Bacary Sagna feels the Gunners should consider signing his compatriot, who still has a lot to give.
“The Premier League suits Paul Pogba – I would love to see him join Arsenal,” Sagna told Paddy Power.
“It would be fantastic; he has experience and enjoys playing with younger guys, which is when he is most effective.
“He was most efficient at the 2018 World Cup, when he was surrounded by pals.
“Arsenal has a young, fresh squad, and I see him performing in an Arsenal shirt. He will receive adoration from their admirers.
