Manchester City are advancing in their endeavor to acquire Troyes forward Savio during the upcoming summer transfer window.
Savio was acquired by the City Football Group team in France as their most expensive player, with an initial transfer fee of £5m that could potentially increase to £10m. However, he has been loaned out for the duration of his two-year contract with the club. Last season, the Brazilian player joined PSV and is currently performing really well for Girona, a fellow team under the CFG umbrella, in their unexpected successful run in La Liga. He has scored five goals and provided seven assists in 22 matches.
Savio’s impressive performances have significantly elevated his position on City’s list of potential signings for the upcoming summer transfer window. As a result, discussions have taken place on the possibility of bringing the 19-year-old player to the Etihad Stadium for the next season. Although it is acknowledged that a formal agreement has not been reached, City is in a favorable position to negotiate and finalize the contract.
