Arsenal defeated Leicester City 4-2 in the Premier League at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.
They led 2-0 at halftime, but surrendered the lead shortly after.
James Justin scored with a deflection header before unleashing a stunning shot to bring the Foxes level.
Arsenal fought for the winning goal, and they ultimately won in stoppage time.
Leandro Trossard caused Wilfred Ndidi to score an own goal from a Bukayo Saka corner.
Kai Havertz put the game out of reach with the Gunners’ fourth before the final whistle.
Saka had an excellent game without scoring. He produced eight opportunities with 11 duels and eight dribbles won.
The Englishman was particularly excellent with corners, with six of his eleven crosses reaching a teammate in the box.
Following the game, manager Mikel Arteta stated that Saka’s consistency from corners is a game changer.
He told Arsenal.com, “That’s not an extra; it’s a game changer.” When he’s in front of the goal and scores, it’s a game changer.
“That’s what he needs to do consistently at this level and the others have to do other stuff, I think we generated 17 corners today, we should have scored from others, we need every possible tool to be a threat all the time.”
Saka failed to record an assist for the sixth straight league game, yet he performed admirably overall.
Aside from his ingenuity, the club graduate had 101 touches and a passing accuracy of 93%.
Arsenal will need him to reproduce his performance when they visit Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League next midweek.
Les Parisiens have been prone to set pieces, which the Gunners might exploit with Saka’s great distribution.
Following impressive performances from Gabriel Martinelli and Trossard, Arteta will almost definitely stick with his current offensive.
Martinelli was the most impressive player in the first half, with a goal and an assist. Trossard also scored a goal and indirectly clinched the victory.
